MARGATE
The Doug Watson Memorial proved to be a wonderful weekend of bowls.
Consisting of mixed trips, singles, men’s pairs, ladies’ pairs and mixed pairs, it was enjoyed by 112 participants from all over South Africa.
Sincere thanks go to main sponsor Re/Max Coast and Country, represented by Mark Jones, for their generosity and support of this prestigious event.
The club thanked many others, especially Volkswagen Margate, who also contributed towards prizes and hampers.
Unfortunately, the inclement weather didn’t allow for the last event – the fours – to be played, but it did allow for much merriment in the pub instead.
