Pennington soccer stars shine bright at awards ceremony
One of the many prizes the team walked away with was the Team of the Year trophy.
The Pennington Stars soccer team is made up of star players!
The awards ceremony for the Scottburgh Night Series Football Challenge was held in Park Rynie recently. At this event, the Pennington Stars received numerous titles and are being celebrated by their local community.
Well done to the team for winning the Team of the Year trophy. They were also the Champion’s League runner-up.
Members from the team also received individual titles:
• Alex Murray – Most Impactful Player of the Season.
• Ntyatyambo – Best Defender of the Season.
• Mduduzi Danise – Veteran Player of the Season, Manager of the Season.
• Andile Ndovela – Centre Defender of the Season.
• Nduduzo – Defender of the Year.
Tidy Towns Pennington sponsored kits to the local players a few months ago, and are over the moon seeing their stars recognised.
The team can be spotted at practise almost every evening at the Village Green in Pennington, and have excellent management, always attend their matches and keep their kits in pristine condition.
Soccer is their clearly their passion, and the team lives by the saying: ‘no individual can win a game by himself’.
