Twilight competition keep bowlers busy

Thanks goes to the sponsor.

We have now come to the end of this year’s Twilight Fun Bowls sponsored by Hampson Suzuki in Scottburgh. We had two full greens of bowlers playing over five weeks.

The final scores were very close, with the winners being Alf Toy, Linda and Jeff Upfold. Runners-up were Annatjie Kidd, Billy Smith and Charles Carr. Third were Helen Meyer, Ted Moffett and Maureen Moffett.

Session prizes went to the teams of Henry Hampson, Glynnis Gorbett/Mike Dennison, Bob Elliott/Mike Davis, Erna Herbst and Ernest Chiole.

We thank Rowan Hampson for his sponsorship and for attending the prize giving.

In terms of the Hibiscus Brokers Mixed Trips, the winners were Dave Coward, Carol Cameron and Christine Gage with a score of 4+20. Runners-up were Fred Hutchins, Brian McAllister and Loretta Holness with a score of 4+14. The 2nd session went to the team from Pretoria, Tobie Botha, Sakkie Mulls and Marieta Muller on a 2+13.

Congratulations to the Fours teams of Hilary Holmes and Liesje de Rosner who have qualified to play in the semi-finals of the KBA Ladies fours on Saturday at AMBC.
