It was a great golf game for the Village Eagles at Selbourne Golf Club recently. The course was in good condition, thanks to all the staff.
There were 64 players on the day. The lost ball count was 144.
Ian Pimg and Enzo Tilli’s estimates were the closest at 140/148, well done. Best Lady was Sarie Hall with 38 individual points and Enzo Tilli took the men’s prize with 44 points. The winners on the day were Sam Dwyer, Roland Tickle, Patrick Sheehan and Sarie Hall on an alliance score of 95 points.
The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Mick Crosby, Glen Willson, Ian Lovett and Eezie Waldhausen on 72 points. There was also a hole-in-one by Mike Eley.
The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Pat White.
Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Derek Hodge was the master and this was once again well supported.
A big thank you to the sponsors, once again without them, this the day would not have been possible and as enjoyable.
The next game will be held at Umdoni Golf Club on April 7. See you all there.
