The following runners are wished well: Captain Linda Khuzwayo, Sergeant Lungelo Chiliza, Admin clerk Sbusiso Hlophe, Constable Nkosikhona Jili, Brigadier Nonhlanhla Dhlamuka (Saps Port Shepstone station commander), Lieutenant Colonel Soso Mthintso, Constable Sinenhlanhla Gumede, Captain Ntokozo Ngcobo, Constable Nkosikhona Jili, andWarrant Officer Nkosiyazi Ngema (employee health and wellness).

The theme of the race is “Ska Fela Moya” (don’t give up), encouraging runners to push through the challenging hills of KwaZulu-Natal.
