Provincial squad selection for Port Shepstone darts players

The Sewraj brothers (Pravin and Venesh) and Jewan Bowla are celebrated stars of the Port Shepstone District Darts Association.

The Port Shepstone and District Darts Association (PSDDA), under the banner of Ray Nkonyeni Darts Association, is proud of three of its players who will represent Port Shepstone at upcoming competitions.

Pravin ‘Fire’ Sewraj and Jewan Bowla were selected to the KZN Masters squad after strong performances in the recent provincial qualifiers and league play. The masters category recognises experienced players who continue to compete at a high standard.

Pravin Sewraj is part of the KZN Masters squad.

Sewraj and Bowla from Jumperz Darts Club are well-known on the local circuit, respected for their consistency, tactical play and commitment to the sport. Their selection reflects years of dedication and support of their club and fellow competitors.

The KZN Masters team will now prepare for upcoming provincial and national fixtures, with Sewraj and Bowla set to bring experience and skill to the line-up.

Sewraj is celebrated for checking out a historic 170 at national level. He is a regular 180-club member, won the senior men’s competition at nationals, and frequently claims top awards for the highest number of 180s in the season.

Venesh 'Rubber' Sewraj is in the KZN provincial team.

Bowla is a powerhouse who has topped the local rankings for his impressive 180 scores, acting as a crucial member of the regional championship men’s team that went undefeated (winning 10 out of 10 games).

Crusader Darts Club’s Venesh ‘Rubber’ Sewraj’s selection to the provincial side comes after consistent performances, sharp focus at the oche and countless hours aiming at the dartboard.

Making a provincial side is no small feat and it means competing with the best in the province and representing KZN on a bigger stage.

Known for his calm under pressure and clutch doubles/singles play, Venesh has been a familiar name on the local circuit. This call-up is a reward for that dedication and the support from team mates, coaches and the darts community behind him.

Venesh is a master of the 171s, he regularly takes home the ‘171 Cup’ and famously closed out a massive 167 in KZN-level games.

The PSDDA congratulates them and are proud of their achievements.
