Perfect day out for Village Eagles in Scottburgh

The next game will be played in Umkomaas soon.

Scottburgh Golf Club was the venue for this month’s Village Eagles golf game.

The course was in good condition despite no rain for the past weeks. The weather was perfect for an enjoyable day of golf.

Well done to Hans Brunnings for his estimate of 44 lost balls on the day. Best Lady was Stella Scott on 43 individual points and Best Man was Rostan Smith on 44 points. Both players won on a count out.

The winners on the day were Ivor Whittam, Ian Lovett, Sarie Hall and Trevor Bell on an alliance score of 101 points. The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Fanie de Jager, Derek Hodge, Denis Middlemiss and Conrad Klusner on 77 points.

The results were calculated by Stan Sim and Pat White. Eddie Mathews presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side Derek Hodge was the master today and this was once again well supported.

The next game will be held at Umkomaas Golf Course on August 4. See you all there.
