Invite to Ugu cross country champs

Athletes have 10 events to choose from, from junior to senior categories.

Athletes, get ready for the Ugu District Cross Country Championships.

Challenge your limits and run your legacy at Crocworld on July 25. The event is open to all athletes and will feature fantastic routes, strong spirits and ultimately make for an unforgettable day. Hosted by the Scottburgh Athletic Club, participants will have 10 events to choose from, from junior to senior categories.

Distances range from 1km to 10km.

The first race starts at 11:00, with boys and girls aged 8 years and younger competing over a distance of 1km.

At 11:10, boys and girls aged 9 and 10 years will take on a 2km course.

The third race begins at 11:30, featuring boys aged 11 and 12 years, as well as girls aged 11, 12 and 13 years, over 3km.

At 11:55, boys aged 13, 14 and 15 years, open men (20–34 years) and U23, open women (20–34 years) and U23, and open master men aged 75 years and older will compete in a 4km race. The fifth race gets underway at 12:35, with girls aged 14 and 15 years, youth women aged 16 and 17 years, and master women aged 35 years and older running 4km.

At 13:20, youth men aged 16 and 17 years, grand master aged 60 to 74 years, and junior women aged 18 and 19 years will compete over 6km. The seventh race starts at 14:10, featuring junior men aged 18 and 19 years and master men aged 34 to 59 years over 8km.

At 15:05, open men and open women aged 20 to 34 years will tackle the 10km event.

The ninth race begins at 16:00, with senior women (20–34 years), junior women (18 and 19 years) and youth women (16 and 17 years) competing over 10km.

The final race of the day starts at 16:15, featuring senior men (20–34 years), junior men (18 and 19 years) and youth men (16 and 17 years) in the 10km race.
