Change of captaincy at Man United

It is a masterstroke, or does it suggest an element of desperation? Time will tell.

The golfing rivalry between Pro-Vision supporters of Liverpool and Manchester United Football Clubs is alive and well.

The season break has seen some dramatic change, with former Liverpool player MacAllister Korah taking over the Manchester United captain’s armband from Bupen Prakash.

Korah has one win under the belt – and that with Liverpool.

He jumped ship last year and it didn’t help, with Manchester United losing.

Despite all this, he is ready to lead, he says.

Korah thanked Bupen for the opportunity.

“I would love to be captain. Thanks Bupen. I appreciate it. To go up against Wzo (Wesley Scholtz, Liverpool captain) will be a challenge I look forward to. ”

Bupen bows out with one win from four meetings. He wished Korah all the best.

With Manchester United finishing above Liverpool in the 2025/2026 Premier League, hopes are that the tide is shafting in United’s favour.

It is a masterstroke, or does it suggest an element of desperation? Time will tell.

Watch the press for details of the exact date of the big derby.
