Ten U15 and three U18 pool players participated in the 2026 South African Blackball Federation National Championship in Colorado, Cape Town last month.

The young players embraced the opportunity, which was provided by Qbit Pool Academy, in partnership with Pool 4 Change.

They displayed exceptional sportsmanship and skill throughout the tournament, and their hard work was reflected in their results.

The U15 team comprised of Shrien Thiessen, Juran Naidoo, Yash Mevalal, Shayle Soobramoney, Ethan Kisten, Sharik Blaque Chappen, Aditya Kusial, Luzuko Cwele, Tahil Naidoo and Ayden Byrne.

Of the two U15 teams, one achieved fifth place and the second placed seventh.
The U18 team of Aarav Mevalal, Mohamed Vander and Liam Ponnan secured fifth place.

In the singles competition, Yash Mevalal and Ethan Kisten, both progressed to the quarter-finals.
Coaches Ivan Naidoo and Sharik Naidoo commended the players commitment and discipline, both on and off the table.
