Upgrade for ever-popular John Dory’s

John Dory's in Shelly Centre has a new look to it.

FOR fans of John Dory’s, it has definitely been worth the wait regarding the renovations to the popular restaurant in the Shelly Centre.

So, if you have found yourself craving some seafood, perhaps it’s time you treated yourself to a meal there.

You’ll be impressed with the fresh, new look, never mind the changes to the menu.

But before you can sit down to an enjoyable meal, it’s important to have the children taken care of – and this John Dory’s does in style, with a superb play area featuring a jungle gym, jumping castle and PlayStation games.

The menu has plenty to offer those who love seafood, but has also taken into consideration those who like something off the grill.

It’s not all about meat though, and the menu caters for vegetarians as well.

For starters, try the new fish cakes which are served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce. Or sample the honey and mustard seared sirloin, served on a bed of rocket and covered in slivers of pecorino cheese.

There is a wide variety of mains to choose from, including platters and combo meals.

The Indonesian style fillet of fish, served with a mild chilli, peanut and coconut butter sauce is definitely worth trying, as is the chicken and prawn curry, served with rice and sambals.

New on the menu is the spicy honey and mustard steak, which is coated in a Cajun spice and served with prawn and avocado.

It is available in two options, 200g or 300g, but, as per the writing on the menu, ‘bigger is better’.

Complement your meal with John Dory’s interesting Bar One and banana spring rolls. Sliced pieces of banana and chocolate are wrapped in spring roll pastry and deep fried for your dining pleasure.

Visit John Dory’s in Shelly Centre to enjoy the experience.
