After a highly charged council meeting this week many positive statements were made.

A SPELL of change seems to have been cast over Hibiscus Coast Municipality.

Officials and councillors appear to be working towards restoring ratepayers’ faith in their ability to get the South Coast back to its best.

After a highly charged council meeting this week many positive statements were made.

Millions will be spent to fix the potholed roads. The beach tidal pools are also in the process of being repaired and restored.

Perhaps some of those millions can also be channelled into fixing the toilets at the beaches too.

We hope that these are not just grand announcements but about service delivery.

Ratepayers are tired of councillors and officials who are driven by self-interest and a desire for the trappings of power.
