Don’t tolerate rudeness

Tempers flared and the police had to be called.

IT is often said that the most commonly used oxymoron is ‘civil servant’.

The state of many of our roads is a disgrace, so disgruntled motorists resent having to pay licence fees for their vehicles.

They also have to take time off from work as the process of getting either a car or driver’s licence renewed is time consuming.

Then to add insult to injury they are treated with utter contempt by staff at the licensing department.

This is a recipe for queue-rage and this is exactly what happened last week. Tempers flared and the police had to be called.

This is one area where the municipality has fallen way behind.

No one should have to tolerate such rudeness from the staff. If they hate their jobs so much they should not take out their frustrations on the public – they are after all civil servants.
