Plenty of food and fun at Spiller’s Wharf

Visitors flocked to the famous landmark on the banks of the Mzimkhulu River.

THIS year’s Spiller’s Wharf Heritage Festival in Port Shepstone, which was a huge hit last year, was even bigger and better.

Spiller’s Wharf is an exciting local landmark that combines elements of its industrial past with a fresh contemporary feel and the jam-packed, four-day festival was a fantastic outing for the whole family.

Visitors to the popular venue on the bank of the Mzimkhulu River viewed traditional dancing along with jazz on the river, loads of entertainment for the children, a film festival, a potjiekos competition, stalls and various boating activities on the river.

Owner of Spiller’s Wharf and heritage film maker, Guy Spiller, said each year they use the Heritage Festival as inspiration to add to their collection of heritage media on display at the wharf and this year was no different.

Car enthusiasts marvelled at the classic and contemporary sports cars on show on Sunday.
