Enjoy some delicious Portuguese fare at Fazenda

This 'restauranté' is rapidly becoming a favourite.

FAZENDA Restauranté, which means ‘farm restaurant’ in Portuguese, opened its doors in April this year.

Since then, the restaurant has drawn locals and visitors alike through affordable and quality meals.

“We are known for our combo meals, which vary from ribs and prawns to Portuguese chicken and prawns, as well as chicken and calamari,” says restaurant manager, Michelle Bester.

“Our extensive wine list helps you pair your meal with a suggested wine,” says Michelle, who recommends that everyone samples the tasty sangria.

Fazenda also serves decadent desserts and has now introduced waffles to its menu.

The restaurant, situated on the Mac Banana Estate in Munster, is unique and offers diners a casual dining experience.

The atmosphere is peaceful, with in-restaurant views of the farm from which it sources its fresh produce, and a patio seating area with beautiful distant sea views.

The staff is well-trained and friendly and is always ready to assist with any request.

The wine list, like the food menu, is significant and represents wines from all over the world, especially Portugal!

Fazenda Restauranté also caters for functions for up to 200 people, including weddings, and a specialised menu can be drawn up for the day.

The restaurant is open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8am till late, and Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays till 4pm.
