Grave concerns

No doubt this is one `official' opening that everyone will want to be at just to see what the mayor, councillors and officials will or won't be wearing.

THE KwaNzimakwe community is angry that the planned nudist beach is on a site where the royal family is buried.

Tempers flared at a mayoral imbizo this week when the community accused the municipality of disrespecting their iNkosi’s family.

They have now threatened protest action as their opposition to the beach was not taken into consideration when approval was granted.

The municipality says it will engage with the iNkosi.

However, the exact co-ordinates of the nudist-friendly beach and the other facilities such as ablution blocks and signage that will be needed, are still to be finalised.

No doubt this is one `official’ opening that everyone will want to be at just to see what the mayor, councillors and officials will or won’t be wearing.
