Clean audits

It is heartening to note that proper accountability is being deployed.

THE Auditor-General’s office released the results on the audit outcomes of local government last week. The good news is that there were significant improvements in the province’s fiscal responsibility.

And two local municipalities and an Ugu entity are among the successful ones to have posted clean audits.

It is heartening to note that proper accountability is being deployed and those who have proper systems in place are to be congratulated.

We miss you Tata

THIS Friday (5th) it will be a year since our beloved Nelson Rolihahla Mandela died.

Let us remember and honour Madiba by fighting for what he believed in, the opportunity to reconcile.

We need to cherish his memory by upholding the wonderful legacy he left us.
