HOPEFULLY 2015 has begun smoothly for our readers. By the time the paper hits the streets most of our tourists will already be home, and locals can relax.
By all accounts the season seemed to be much the same as in past years. We had praise, suggestions, complaints and concerns.
One thing has emerged, and perhaps we need to be reminded thereof: The South Coast is, or can be, a gem.
It is blessed with natural beauty and by and large, wonderful, friendly people.
If we can just get a few of the basics right, everyone can benefit. This includes consistent water and electricity supply, the fixing of potholes, control of excessively rowdy behaviour, and a limit to how long fireworks are allowed to be used (illegally, that is).
Get these right and the sky’s the limit.
Congratulations to the matrics who have completed their schooling. All the best as you pursue your chosen careers.
