Cops are tops

The unit's senior officers came in for high praise from their station commander who said they were dedicated and good leaders.

A  PORT Shepstone police unit comprising 24 members (which includes administration staff), who serve a huge area that includes 15 stations took the well-deserved top award at a recent ceremony.

The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit, which covers the vast area between Ixopo and Port Shepstone, is to be congratulated on this outstanding achievement at the Provincial Commissioners’s Service Excellence Awards.

The unit’s senior officers came in for high praise from their station commander who said they were dedicated and good leaders.

Last week the local SAPS Search and Rescue assisted with the successful search for the missing Midmar Mile swimmer.

And they took part in a refresher course jointly with the SAPS Air Wing in Durban recently.
