Begin your feast at Friar Tuck with the Butler’s field mushrooms prepared in port and garlic, studded with prawns, shrimps and parsley, grilled and served with a creamy white sauce.
Or try the Saint’s garlic mussels, prepared in wine, with a garlic and chive sauce, grilled and served on a shallow bed of rice.
Other starter options include Prince John’s snails, Queen’s seafood cocktail or Nottingham calamari.
Friar Tuck also offers oxtail, lamb cutlets and chicken schnitzel for those who prefer something different.
Vegetarian meals are available as is a menu filled with dishes children would enjoy.
Main meals are served with large onion rings, either chips or a baked potato and fresh garden vegetables.
If you still have space for dessert, you should try Lady Beatrice’s malva pudding or the Sheriff’s ice cream.
