MANY ratepayers are disgruntled about the timing of last Friday evening’s cluster five mayoral draft budget imbizo.
Despite requests to have the date changed, as it was the start of a long weekend and in the middle of Africa Bike Week, the meeting went ahead.

Once the draft budget has been tabled the municipality is legally obliged to consult with the community in order for them to make recommendations in the true spirit of transparency and public participation.
Perhaps the date was specifically chosen.
