Fed up with taxis and water issues

Taxi bosses also need to take more responsibility for their drivers.

SLOW response times from Ugu District Municipality may have led to Harding consumers blaming the mayor for the area not having water.

The residents claimed mayor Dixie Nciki had “stolen” a water pump which left the town dry.

Both Umuziwabantu and Ugu municipalities have denounced the accusations.

And those self-styled ‘Kings of the Road’ taxi drivers have also come under fire this week.

Both motorists and commuters are fed up with their inconsiderate behaviour.

Pulling out in front of oncoming traffic, stopping when and wherever they like without indicating, speeding, incessant hooting and being rude to their passengers are the main bugbears.

If they are fined for transgressions – they cannot be traced as they do not own the vehicles.
