Keep beaches clean

Stop the trashing this season.

RECENTLY there have been many letters and reports about the mess left at the South Coast beaches.

Officials have promised to throw more staff at keeping the beaches and facilities looking good for our visitors.

The common denominator concerning bad behaviour, such as trashing and littering at beaches and in open spaces, is alcohol consumption.

Defecating and urinating are part of this unruly behaviour.

We need controlled access, dedicated beach managers, to stop liquor from being taken to the beaches and to keep the toilets manned during the holiday season.

It is a far better solution to stop trashing rather than try and clean it up afterwards.

Please leave only your footprints behind.
