Pool revamp out of deep end

IF you fancy a swim in Margate’s Olympic Pool the good news is that repairs will start next month.

The pool, which started leaking last year, has been closed to the public for many months much to the ire of the locals and holidaymakers.

Councillor Dave Watson is optimistic the renovations to the pool will lead to a revamp of Margate’s main beach’s north side.

And there is more good news – Margate was named as one of the KwaZulu-Natal finalists in KykNET’s Kwela `Dorp van die Jaar’ contest.
