Seniors enjoy a Christmas treat

The lunch is held annually and is generously sponsored by the Ramsgate Lions.

At last week’s Christmas lunch hosted by Ramsgate Lions, friends (from left) Val Jameson, Joan Marais, Vi Stevens, Verna Louw and Rose Waldeck savour some traditional festive fare.

Ramsgate Lions gave back to the community by inviting 40 senior citizens to a festive Christmas lunch, complete with Christmas carols and gifts.

Lions Marianne Gale and Pam Ogden transported some frail care residents from Margate Retirement Village to The Lion’s Hall in Ramsgate for the lunch.

All cooking was done by the Lions and a lot of love went into preparing the meal.

Lion President Warren Theron single-handedly made a delectable apple strudel.
