The Peugeot 208 won the Enthusiast’s Choice award at the 2022 Car of the Year competition.
No doubt this little contender was one of the top choices in this year’s competition as it boasts great features. The all-new Peugeot 208, was also awarded the 2020 European Car of the Year. This city car embodies the future of driving with distinctive sporty lines and the new 3D i-Cockpit, and wow this feature is way cool. I had the privilege of test driving this vehicle around the block at Shelly Beach this week. Well, my thoughts – de toute beauté.
The Peugeot 208 has a strong personality from the first glimpse. The low figure, long bonnet and sensual curves hint at its seductive sporty spirit, and the bright and original body colours further enhance its irresistibility. Its assertive character is further underlined by the Black Diamond roof, gloss black wheel arches and gloss window surround and diamond cut alloy wheels.

Daya Reddy manager of Bates Motors said he was optimistic that one of the Peugeot brands either the 208 or the double cab Land Track stood a chance, especially under strong competition.

Peugeot was also runners-up this year with the Land Track bakkie. Winning Enthusiast’s Choice Car of the Year, the Peugeot 208 is a fantastic vehicle with value for money.”
