Accolades for karate students

Karate students were awarded for their sterling efforts and commitment to the sport.

The Port Shepstone Shotokan and Shelly Beach Shotokan clubs held their annual awards evening in December last year.

Under the guidance of Shihan Frank Moodley, karate students were recognised for their sterling work and commitment to the sport.

Port Shepstone Shotokan’s Tyler Gous and Ilhaam Amod are senior outstanding students of the year, and Neriah Peeriyalal the junior outstanding student of the year.

Shelly Beach Shotokan’s Preason Naidoo and Ilhaam Moosa are the outstanding students of the year.

Moodley said he is proud of all his students and looks forward to the new year.

The Port Shepstone Shotokan club will reopen on January 14, and Shelly Beach Shotokan on January 15.
