Renown watercolourist to help USCAA artists brush up

The meeting will be preceded by a drawing session which begins at 9am and ends at approximately noon.

THE Upper South Coast Art Association (USCAA) holds its monthly meeting on Saturday, 17 August in the activities hall of Amanzimtoti library from 1.30pm until 4pm.

This month’s demonstration will be given by a renowned artist and expert in the field of watercolours, Marion Townsend, and all members are urged to attend. USCAA is fortunate to have her as the demands on her time are considerable. A small charge for refreshments will be made. The meeting will be preceded by a drawing session which begins at 9am and ends at approximately noon.

There will be no charge for this session and members of the public are invted to atttend. It will be necessary to bring the usual drawing materials plus the dust of a ground up stick of charcoal, some pastel dust created out of one of the three primaries (only one) and some white pastel or chalk, and good quality paper and a putty rubber.

You are also advised not to wear white clothing and to bring an apron, some wipes and soap. Sounds like we are in for a great deal of fun and creativity.
