Social club to probe Scottish culture
This month's speaker is world-renowned author and artist Doctor Alex Coutts

THE next Probus Amanzimtoti Social Club monthly meeting takes place on Friday, 30 August at 9.20am for 10am, in the safe, beautiful, and tranquil surroundings of the Umbogavango Nature Reserve.
Visitors and members are requested to take their own cups, meat, salads, and refreshments for the bring-and-braai after the meeting.
This month’s speaker is world-renowned author and artist Doctor Alex Coutts, who will be discussing the history of Scottish culture.
There will also be a brief talk on Burn’s life, the history of the times and Scottish attire, to be followed by a sing-along.
Members are asked to memorise the following chorus lines: When the wind blows high or the wind blows low, “Through the streets in ma kilt I’ll go, all the lassies shout hello. Donald where’s yer troosers?”
Probus Amanzimtoti is a social club for retired or semi-retired persons over 50 and membership is open to singles or couples who enjoy socialising with their peers. Interested visitors can call Sharon-Ann on 083-312-5360 by 29 July, as in order to gain entrance to the nature reserve the gate security will first check your name against their list.
