Only rogues in Rogies Park

This is no place for children and the elderly anymore.

EDITOR – I have lived in Afsaal flats for the past 17 years.

The last few months have been the first time I have felt unsafe walking my dog in or near Rogies Park.

There is a ‘pack’ of 10 or more homeless people, who fight and drink in the park everyday. This park used to be for children and their families. It has become so dangerous just walking through the park because of the behaviour of these homeless people.

In past years, the police use to ask them to leave but lately nothing is being done. The park is a mess, most often scattered with empty alcohol bottles.

This is no place for children and the elderly anymore.

We want a safe Rogies Park again.
