Stoney’s vet bill settled thanks to donations

“Stoney was picked up on the freeway six months ago. He was vaccinated and neutered by Animal Action and adopted. However, he stepped in a hole in his owner’s yard and broke his left front paw. As the owner was unable to pay the vet’s bill of R4,060, we started fundraising,” said Pam Hay.

Following an appeal in the Sun, the organisation received the following donations: R550 from Beatrice; R900 from Mervin; R100 from Linda; R100 from Sharon; R100 from Daphne; R200 from Judith; R800 from anonymous; R100 from Dorothy and R200 from Trish.

“We have had a wonderful response and thank the public for their generous cash and bric-a-bric donations,” said Pam.
