Halfway there for water tank fundraising effort

THE Jabulani Home for the Aged drinking water tank fundraising project has reached the halfway mark of its R60,000 target.

Pam Golding Properties Amanzimtoti contributed R2,530 and challenges all real estate agencies in the area to match or better the amount. Other contributions are R1,750 from the Jabulani holiday raffle which closes on Friday, 25 October and R2,300 from the Jabulani morning market, which brings the total of the market’s takings to R15,800.

Funds are being raised to replace three 30-year-old asbestos drinking water tanks on the roof with two plastic jo-jo tanks.

Fundraising co-ordinators, Errol and Sharon-Ann Theron thank the public for their generosity.

Businesses and the public are urged to support. Any amount is welcome, but those making a donation of R1,000 and more will be listed on the adjacent barometer until the target is reached.

Funds can be deposited in the following account: Nedbank Limited, account name: KWOFTA, account number: 130-607-6390, branch code130-627. The reference is Water.
