Bridge painting to beautify Toti

Sapphire Coast Toti Tourism (SCTT) is continuing with painting Toti’s bridges in an effort to beautify the area.

Dafco Paints sponsored 100 litres of ‘sapphire blue’ paint to help with the project. The project was first launched by SCTT in April 2011 to encourage positivity and bring economic growth to the Toti region. By painting bridges and walls, it serves as a visual reminder that everyone needs to join in one vision, to promote the Toti area.

“The bridge over the Toti River on Hutchison Road was the first to be painted on Tuesday, 12 November,” said SCTT chairman, Jacques van Schalkwyk. “The next one will be on Adams Road. We urge local business to get involved in beautifying the area, in whatever way they can.

Weather permitting, we will be out every day painting another bridge. We hope to complete them all by the time our December visitors start arriving.”

Local businesses can sponsor paint for the project. For more information on how else to get involved, email Jacques at chairman@totitourism.co.za
