So many items are regularly donated, for which the society is extremely grateful.
EDITOR – I encourage all members of our ‘economically-strained’ society to do yourself a favour, and visit the local SPCA thrift and book shop at the premises in Athlone Park.
Note that these are also open on Saturday mornings.
The volunteers involved really do a sterling job sorting and displaying the most amazing bargains – all types of household bric-a-brac one can imagine, clothes for the whole family at unbelievably low prices, and of course the superb, separate book shop where one is sure to find exactly what you need and want either for yourself or as a present.

Also bear in mind the win-win situation that results – you get amazing bargains, and those poor stray and abandoned dogs and cats that spend their lives cooped up in kennels and cages at least have adequate shelter and food, as a result of your purchase from the shops.
