Round Table gets a new chairman
AMANZIMTOTI Round Table has a new leader at its helm, as Terrence Hartwanger was inducted as the organisation's new chairman at a 'whacky shoe' themed function at Amanzimtoti Country Club on Saturday, 1 March.
Terence has been a Tabler for the last three years and is looking forward to the year ahead in the hot seat. He is no stranger to the service organisation as his dad, John was a a Tabler in Bethel and his wife’s grandfather is a past Toti chairman.
He matriculated from Kingsway High School, settled in Toti, started a career and a family.
Currently the club has eight members. “I want to build on membership, moreso the right membership because in the past the organisation had the wrong reputation as a drinking club,” said Terence.
Among his plans for the year are to turn the club’s colours from black and white to ‘green’ for more efficient running of the club and to build relationships with the Toti community and municipality.
Members meet every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at its clubhouse at M-Projects in Prospecton.
