Artists to capture Cape scenes

Support your club's efforts to bring you varied and interesting artists to complement your skills.

THE Upper South Coast Art Association will hold its monthly meeting on 15 March at 1.30pm until 4pm in the activities hall of Amanzimtoti library.

The meeting will be preceded by a drawing session which will begin at 8.30am until noon.

There is no charge for this session and the public is invited to join in to improve their drawing skills. There is a small charge for refreshments. Members are requested to take along their usual drawing materials of pencils and charcoal and paper and to include three colour pencils. pastels or chalks in yellow, red and blue plus a scarf.

The afternoon meeting will host a demonstration by Stefan Hofmeyr, an Amanzimtoti artist who resided in Pretoria for some time but has returned to Toti. He works in oils, acrylics and whatever medium comes to hand on whatever surface is available. Support your club’s efforts to bring you varied and interesting artists to complement your skills. For those entering the theme competition, the subject is ‘Cape scenes’. The club leaves it to your imagination to produce something original.
