SPCA educates pupils pet care

AMANZIMTOTI SPCA is on a drive to educate children on pet care and about its work in the community.

New SPCA PRO, Michelle Hannan and two staff members, Colin Cele and Sarah Jones visited Moyeni Pre-primary on Friday morning, 14 March.

“We took SPCA dog, Steffi along to meet the children. I gave a small introduction and Sarah gave them insightful tips on how to look after their pets,” said Michelle.

The children were well-behaved and listened with enthusiasm. Some got to come up to give Steffi a well-deserved treat.

“At the end of the presentation, the children lined-up to say goodbye to Steffi. We intend to visit all local schools, to educate the children on pet care and what the SPCA stands for.”

If a school is interested in a visit, contact the SPCA on 031-904-2424 to make an arrangement.
