Herbert, Das make a meal of men’s 2-4-2 bowls at Winkle BC

AT Winklespruit Bowling Club on Thursday, 22 May in the Eagle Canyon Spur men's 2-4-2, the second session was won by Paul Els and Barry Buckland, with the overall winners being Herbert Hofmann and Das Veldsman.
The 100 board went to Sonny Brunsdon.
In this week's club competitions, the nominated men's pairs 2-4-2 round two saw Freddy Hetterscheidt and Brian Bodley beat Alan Raubenheimer and Des Robarts.
In the drawn men's pairs 2-4-2 Alan Raubenheimer and Des Robarts beat Brian Farmer and Dries Snyman. The mixed drawn pairs 2-4-2 saw Dries Snyman and Charlotte Kohl beat Alan Raubenheimer and Lulu Bingham. The women's nominated pairs 2-4-2 round two resulted in Elaine Critchlow and Mareen Griffin beating Di Kruger and Norma Raath. In the men's nominated pairs 2-4-2 round one, Eddie Bingham and Dries Snyman beat Bill Rawlinson and Brian Farmer. The women's nominated trips round one saw Jeanette Els, Elmarie Young and Bessie Vergottini beat Lulu Bingham, Charlotte Kohl and Lynette van Vuuren.
On Friday, 23 May a tabs in floodlight game of bowls was played. There was good attendance and the game was enjoyed by all. The game was preceded by a meal of wors rolls cooked and donated by Lyn and Harry van Vuuren. The attendance draw was a rollover as the number 26 was drawn and Hazel Willis was not present.
On Sunday, 25 May the Eagle Canyon Spur mixed trips second session was won by Mike Kruger, Di Kruger and Trish Farmer and the overall winners were Martin Young, Elmarie Young and Jonty Denyssen. The 100 board went to Isabel Milne.
On Saturday, 31 May it's the men's league match against Morningside at home. Start time is 1.30pm and the women's inter-club league at Amanzimtoti round one versus Westville CC B starts at 9am. Round two versus Umhlanga A starts at 1.30pm, so go along and support the teams.
