Poinsettia ‘carnival’ fete promises fun

There will be lucky dips and games for children.

POINSETTIA Park Retirement Centre’s annual fete, themed all-things carnival, takes place on Saturday, 5 July.

Get early to 619 Kingsway, Toti as gates open at 7.30am.

There will be bargains galore, such as handcrafts, toys, a this and that table, books and gifts. Diabetic goodies will also be on sale and for those with a sweet tooth, a variety of cakes and pancakes will be up for grabs.

To keep the hunger pangs at bay, there will be curry and rice, boerewors rolls and toasted sandwiches. Relax in the tea garden after shopping, with tea or coffee and a plate of mouthwatering snacks.

The event is family-orientated, so take the children along, there will be lucky dips and games for them.

“Support us, it is our biggest fundraiser and all money raised goes back into the upliftment of Poinsettia,” said the centre’s Wendy Lloyd.

So if you want to get your Christmas shopping done early, get there before noon.
