EDITOR – We live in Wavecrest Road, Athlone Park, and have a beautiful sea view.
Unfortunately people and gardeners use the embankment in front of our home to dump all their refuse, rubble and garden cuttings.
When we apprehend them, they say they thought it is a rubbish dump because of all the rubbish that has been dumped there. We have contacted the council, who have promised to send an inspector to check, but to date nothing has been done.
The smell from the rotting rubbish is terrible, and also very unhealthy.
How does one go about stopping these people, besides sitting and watching them 24 hours a day?
