A WOMAN died and two others were critically injured in a roll-over accident on the northbound lane of the N2, between Winklespruit and Doonside on Thursday afternoon, 28 August.
“Paramedics and the fire department found the injured lying several meters away from the crumpled remains of their vehicle. After triaging, it was found that two adults and a
baby had sustained life-threatening injuries,” said Chris Botha, Netcare 911 spokesman.
“Paramedics worked fervently for some time to try and resuscitate a woman, tragically she died despite all their efforts. The man was placed on a ventilator. Paramedics transported the father and
baby to Prince Mshiyeni hospital for the care that he required.”
The cause of the accident will be investigated by police.
