Post-abortion training course for counsellors
To equip counselors in understanding people facing post-abortion stress.
AFRICA Cares for life hosts a post-abortion counselling course at the Lionsgate Church at 24 Queens Terrace in Doonside from Monday to Wednesday, 15 to 17 September.
The trainer is Daniele Gradwell. The cost is R650, which includes a manual and refreshments and the duration is 8.30am to 4.30pm on each day.
The training covers: Setting the standards; development of post-abortion stress; the grieving process; healing tasks; establishing an abortion recovery programme; initial contact with the post-abortion women; running a group and the breakdown of sessions.
This course will enhance counselling training techniques to equip counselors in understanding people facing post-abortion stress.
