Artists to draw self-portraits

There is a small charge for refreshments.

THE Upper South Coast Art Association will hold its monthly meeting in the activities hall of the Amanzimtoti library on Saturday, 20 September at 1.15pm.

The speaker is Darryl Houghton who will give a power point presentation on the Spanish artist, Joan Miro. The meeting will be preceded by a drawing session which starts at 9.15am.

There is a small charge for refreshments.

At the morning drawing session, members will attempt a self-portrait and are requested to take along the usual drawing materials – mirrors, reels of cotton or wool or fishing reel. Since the exercise will be attempted on printed paper, take along some newspaper, but not the adverts.

You will also require a synthetic soft brush and white or coloured drawing paper. The session will end at about noon. There is no charge for this session and the club looks forward to seeing as many members as possible.
