Steve appointed to board of KZN cricket
The decision to appoint Steve was taken at the KZNCU's annual general meeting.
Toti cricketing coaching guru, Steve Belluigi has been appointed to the Board of KZN Cricket (Pty) Ltd, the company that controls the Dolphins team.
It is a joint venture between the KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union (KZNCU) and Supersport.
The decision to appoint Steve was taken at the KZNCU’s annual general meeting.
“I was honoured that the KZNCU council entrusted me with so crucial a role,” said Steve. “I am already close to the Dolphins players and coaching staff and hope that my experience will allow the Supersport members of the board to get a clearer understanding of the cricket pipeline, from mini-cricket to the Dolphins professional team.
I have no doubt that the Dolphins will be very competitive in all forms of competition this season.”
Steve continues in his role as office bearer and treasurer of the KZNCU and president of the Sunfoil KZN Cricket Coaches Association.
He was due to leave for India to support the Dolphins in the Champions League, but opted instead to accept Cricket South Africa’s invitation to attend the CSA level 3 course at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria.
This course is often only undertaken every two years and only the top coaches in South Africa are invited.
Steve continues to run his successful School of Cricket Excellence from the Amanzimtoti Golf Course nets.
