THE THRIFT shop at Amanzimtoti Child and Family Welfare Society in Toti, which helps raise funds via the sale of donated goods, needs help to set-up a store on its premises.

Volunteers, Ann Matthew and Kogie Chetty who man the shop, urge the public and businesses in the area to come on board. “We urgently need shelving, rails for clothing, a stairway access to the shop and an alarm system,” said Kogie.

Currently they move items from the shop to the education centre next door for a monthly sales table, which has about 20 regular customers.

“Once we have a proper set-up, we can open more regularly.” Kogie and Ann sort out all donations that come in. The community can donate clothing and household goods in good condition.
If you’re able to help with its urgent needs, contact the welfare office on 031-903-5171 or Fred Matthew on 082-659-5108.
