Good work being done at SPCA

I am sure the dogs and cats will be grateful for your support.

EDITOR – In response to the letter in last week’s Sun entitled ‘SPCA kennels under strain‘.

Thank you for the chairman’s explanation on why the manager Tracy Girling had to make the difficult decision to euthanase the two pets.

In response to Salmon Barkhuizen (Sun letters page, 21 November), if the euthanisation of the Van Der Merwes’ two pets was the most shocking case of animal cruelty that you have ever heard of , then you don’t read and get out too often. Do yourself a favour and visit the local SPCA and see what good work is being done by Tracy and her team.

Then you will realise how fortunate we are to have a pro-active SPCA on our doorsteps. While you are there, take the opportunity to support their well-stocked second hand shop.

I am sure the dogs and cats will be grateful for your support.
