Tight lines reign at Buccs’ first angling compo
The winning fish for the inedible category went to Dennis Nosworthy with a Diamond Skate of 18.6 kg.

BUCCANEERS Social Fishing Club’s first competition of 2015 took place on the weekend of Saturday,10 January and Sunday, 11 January.
There were great results recorded by most anglers.
Twelve anglers, one junior and three visitors participated.
The winning fish for the inedible category went to Dennis Nosworthy with a diamond skate of 18.6kg.
Dennis also recorded two grey sharks, one of 8.4kg and the other 5.7kg. Second place went to Mike Nosworthy, Dennis’s dad with a grey shark of 12.3kg and another grey of 6.5kg. Further recorded in the inedible category were: Deon Jordt with a grey shark of 6.5kg and hot on his heels was his son and junior angler, Aaron Jordt with a brown skate of 5.2kg. The ‘Doc’ Clive van Rensburg recorded a lessor of 1kg, a blue skate of 1.8kg, and four brown skates of 4kg, 3.6kg, 4.7kg and 2.3kg. Gary Lloyd had five brown skates of 3.4kg, 3.2kg, 2.8kg, 2.6kg and 2.5kg. Last but not least Solly Nortje had a milk shark of 2.1kg.
The club extends a warm welcome to newest member Mel Venter, who is very enthusiastic. The next competition will be in two weeks’ time, 24 and 25 January.
