Man killed crossing highway
In a second incident, a man was hit by a car and seriously injured in Toti.
A MAN in his late 20s was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing at the N2/M4 interchange, near the old Durban International Airport on Monday, 23 March at about 7.23am.
“Paramedics responded, but he had died due to his injuries,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.
In a second, unrelated incident, a man was seriously injured after he was hit by a car at the intersection of Moss Kolnick Drive and Blaze Way in Toti on Saturday, 21 March at about 7.30am.
“Paramedics and the fire department found the man lying on the road. After they stabilised him, they transported him to a local hospital,” said Botha.
A report from the scene indicates that the man was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a car. According to him the vehicle left the scene.
