A MAN and woman shot dead in Adams Mission have been identified as Boh Zulu and his girlfriend, Gugu Sibisi.
KZN MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Willies Mchunu has strongly condemned the callous double murder.
While details of the incident remain a subject of police investigation, reports suggest that the couple had just arrived home when they were shot and killed before getting out of their car.
The couple is survived by three children, according to reports.
Mchunu expressed anger and shock at the double murder and appeals to anyone who might have any information that might lead to the arrest of those responsible to come forward immediately.
“I am deeply shocked by this double murder. It is totally abhorrent, senseless and inhumane. We condemn it and we will follow it until there is an arrest and conviction. I would like to call on the community to give police an opportunity to work on this matter so that those responsible for this act can be brought to book.
I am assured that members of the police are working around the clock to ensure that those who are responsible for these cold-blooded murders are brought to justice as soon as possible,” said Mchunu.
He also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Zulu and Sibisi.
At this stage, the motive for the murder is unknown.
