A domestic worker was fortunate to have the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) come to her aid after she was tied-up when thieves broke into her employer’s Lewis Drive home on Thursday, 21 May.

According to CCPO operations manager, Leon Joone, a foot patrol guard saw a suspicious-looking man carrying a bag while patrolling Saltwood Road at about noon.

The guard found a laptop and other items in the bag.

“The man said he had broken into a house in Lewis Drive. After the CCPO gained access to the house, a domestic worker was found tied up and locked in the bathroom. The man’s accomplices had already left.”
